For the thrill seekers in a sport of precision, Sport shooting is one of Normandy’s favorite past times. Spend a half-day in Normandy’s renowned Shooting Club with an accompanied guide. Located in the heart of deep rural Normandy at 30 minutes from Bayeux, this club is a hidden treasure with its authentic country buildings, high level infrastructure, and sophisticated launchers. It is known throughout France for its large spectrum of clay trajectories. This club hosted the French Federation Championship in 2003. Not recommended for beginners.

 

Saturday 9-1 pm or 1–5 pm / Sunday Mornings 9-1 pm

COOKING CLASS WITH MICHELIN STAR CHEF

 

 

This is a hands on French cooking experience with a one starred Michelin Chef. Classes take place on a reservation basis in small groups of eight or privately. The classes are instructed by the chef himself. The chef has a wonderful sense of humor and a special talent of making the debutant feel at ease. Transportation to and from the class is provided. Classes are from 9-12:00 pm. Guests are invited to enjoy their creation after the class in the dining area or leave with the securely packaged meal. Lovely step by step illustrated recipes, signed by chef, provided to every guest.

BAYEUX’S SECRETS

 

 

VISIT TO THE PRIVATE CHAMBERS OF THE CATHEDRAL / HISTORICAL HOMES IN BAYEUX / LUNCH IN A PRIVATELY OWNED 15th CENTURY MANOR

 

 

Accompanied by Claire Quéré, permanent historian of the city, your clients will visit the behind the scenes rooms and chambers of Bayeux’s cathedral, not opened to the public. They will discover : the “Chamber of Treasures,” which houses the Bayeux Tapestries original leather trunk and many ‘awe striking’ objects that belonged to the Bishops and Clergy of Bayeux from the 11th century onward, the Cathedral’s Crypt where William the Conqueror took his oath to govern England, and the “Chapter Chamber” where a an mysterious mosaic labyrinth covers the floor. The tour will continue throughout the historical village of Bayeux making stops in private homes and meeting with local residents. Lunch will be served in a privately owned 15th century manor with its period pieces. The lunch will be in a relaxed setting and warm friendly ambiance.
